Politics: Vice President Cheney in Poland

I used to work in a place where I taught daily living skills to adults with developmental disabilities and mental retardation. One of the more nuanced lessons involved selecting clothing that was both weather and occasion appropriate.

In today’s Washington Post, Robin Givhan, dresses down Vice President Cheney on his clothing selection.

Weather appropriateness: Olive drab parka with white fur rimmed hood and name embroidered on the front, hiking boots and a knit ski cap labeled “staff 2001” - Excellent job Mr. Vice President!

Occasion appropriateness: A memorial ceremony at a Nazi death camp marking the 60th Anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz – As the US representative at this event, what other choice might have been more appropriate Dick?
